Portland Type I Cement
- One of the most widely used basic building materials in the United States, because it is durable, dependable, cost-effective, and suitable for a variety of concrete construction applications
- Used to construct pavements, sidewalks, reinforced concrete buildings, bridges, railway structures, tanks, reservoirs, culverts, water pipe, and masonry units
- Provides optimum strength characteristics for conventional ready mix requirements, as well as architectural construction where high strength is needed
- Available as a low alkali portland cement
|
|
Portland Type II Cement
- Ideal for projects that require moderate sulfate resistance and lower heat of hydration
- Suitable for use in massive structures, such as heavy piers, abutments, and retaining walls
|
|
Portland Type I/II Cement
- Exceptionally versatile basic building material, suitable for a variety of connect construction applications – from massive structures to sidewalks, reinforced concrete buildings, bridges, railway structures, tanks, reservoirs, culverts, water pipe, and masonry units
- Combines the basic performance characteristics of Type I portland cement with the moderate sulfate resistance and lower heat of hydration characteristic of Type II portland cement
|
|
Portland Type III Cement
- Provides exceptional high early strength within 24 hours for the ultimate in efficiency and dependability
- Ideally suited for a variety of concrete construction applications -- particularly those jobs where a structure must be put into service quickly, or when forms need to be removed as soon as possible, such as pre-cast of pre-stress jobs
|
|
Portland Type V Cement
- Best choice to dependably stand up to severe sulfate attack
- Exhibits extraordinary resistance to sulfate waters, brine waters, sulfate soils, and many sulfate conditions
|
|
Portland Type IA Cement
- Delivers the performance needed to handle even the toughest freeze-thaw and ice and snow removal cycles, especially for facilities without air-entrainment
- Resists freezing and thawing, as well as scaling caused by de-icing chemicals, because it contains small quantities of air-entraining agent, which creates minute, well-distributed, and uniform air bubble systems

Portland White Type I Cement
- Provides strength, workability, and consistent color for architectural treatments that call for aesthetic white finishes
- Enhances the effect of terrazzo and monolithic white concrete
- Suitable for a variety of construction applications, including pre-cast curtain walls, facing panels, flooring surfaces, stucco, cement paint, tile grout, decorative concrete, and white or colored concrete or mortar
