THE ORGANIZATION

Holcim (US) Inc. is headquartered in Waltham, MA. Holcim is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of cement and mineral components in the United States. In addition to Portland cements, Holcim produces fly ash and slag cement products, such as GranCem® cement, to enhance concrete performance. Holcim also makes blended and masonry cements in a wide variety of colors.

MANAGEMENT TEAM

Filiberto Ruiz
President and Chief Executive Officer

Filiberto Ruiz was named President and Chief Executive Officer in February, 2013. Prior to this position, Mr. Ruiz was Deputy Chief Executive Officer.  Mr. Ruiz held the position of Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing for Holcim (US) from December, 2010 to August, 2012, Senior Vice President, Manufacturing for Holcim (US) from September, 2006 to December, 2010 and President for Geocycle LLC in 2010. Mr. Ruiz has spent his professional career with the Holcim Group, beginning in 1986 as an Electronic Supervisor at the Apaxco plant. He led the Electric department from 1987 to 1992 and was Maintenance Manager from 1992 to 1996. He became Plant Manager in June 1996 and served in that capacity until August 1999. Mr. Ruiz worked for Holcim (US) from September 1999 until July 2001 as Regional Manufacturing Vice President. From July 2001 to Sept 2006 he returned to Mexico and served as Vice President of Cement Operations at Holcim Apasco, Holcim’s Mexican group company.

Mr. Ruiz received a degree as an electronic systems engineer from the Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico, and a Business Management degree from Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa. He has also attended executive programs at the University of Michigan and IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.

OFFICERS

Norman L. Jagger
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Mr. Jagger was appointed Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Holcim (US) in 2012. Prior to joining Holcim (US), Mr. Jagger held the position of Senior Vice President, Midwest Region for Aggregate Industries US from 2008 until his appointment to Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Holcim (US) in 2012. Mr. Jagger began his career with Aggregate Industries US in 1983 holding positions in sales, plant management, production management, and as ready mix division sales manager.  

Mr. Jagger received a BS degree in Accounting in 1983 from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

David Loomes
Vice President, Commercial Services

Mr. Loomes was appointed to the Executive Committee in March, 2012.  Mr. Loomes began his career with Holcim in 1990 as a cement controller in South Africa. He then held positions of increasing responsibility in other Holcim Group companies including roles in finance, strategy, acquisitions, general management and commercial services. In 2008, he assumed the role of vice president, commercial services, where he handles corporate logistics, marketing support, product quality and performance, marketing operations and industry association involvement.

Mr. Loomes serves on the board of directors of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, and on the board of trustees for NRMCA Research and Education Foundation and Concrete Industry Management. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science and a honors in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa, is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.

Jeff Ouhl
Senior Vice President, Manufacturing
Mr. Ouhl was appointed Senior Vice President, Manufacturing in April, 2011. Mr. Ouhl held the position of Vice President, Manufacturing from October, 2009 until his appointment to Senior Vice President, Manufacturing in April, 2011.  Prior to that date, Mr. Ouhl worked as the Plant Manager for the Ste. Genevieve, Missouri plant.  Before assuming his role as Plant Manager at the Ste. Genevieve plant, Mr. Ouhl was the plant manager for the Holly Hill, SC plant.  Mr. Ouhl served in 2003, as the Project Manager for the new Holly Hill plant construction when it began in 1999.  Mr. Ouhl started his career with Holcim (US) in 1994 as Plant Engineer at our previously-owned Seattle, WA plant and in 1996 was promoted to Maintenance Superintendent. In 1998, he accepted the position of Production Manager at our Artesia, MS plant. Prior to joining Holcim, Mr. Ouhl held several positions with Flohr Metal Fabricators from 1989 until 1994 that included sales, project management, and estimating. He was also a Production Line Supervisor with Genie Industries.

Mr. Ouhl has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Washington State University. He has participated in the Holcim Cement Course, the Holcim Vesta Forum, and a variety of university-level courses and business-related training.

Rick Reinhart
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Reinhart joined Holcim (US) Inc. in March 2004 as Vice President, Controller.  Mr. Reinhart was promoted to his current position in January, 2011. Prior to joining Holcim (US), Mr. Reinhart was the North American Controller for GKN Plc in Michigan and was responsible for the group’s strategic plans, financial forecasts, internal controls, accounting and reporting. Before this assignment, he worked at Delco Remy in Anderson IN, where he was the Corporate Controller for this $1.1 billion global manufacturing company. Mr. Reinhart worked with Lear Corporation in 1996 as the Operations Controller within the North America Ford Motor Company division.  Early in 1999, he acquired the additional role of Division Controller, and later that year was appointed Finance Director for the Ford Europe Division in Coventry, England. Mr. Reinhart earned an MBA from Michigan State University, has a BS degree in accounting from the University of Findlay, Ohio, and is a certified management accountant.

Jay Tangney
Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary
Mr. Tangney was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer in January of 2011 after serving as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since January 2007.  Mr. Tangney had previously served as Holcim's Regional Counsel for the Texas-Oklahoma and Mountain Regions during 2006.    Prior to joining Holcim, Mr. Tangney was a partner at Mintz Levin, a large Boston-based law firm.  While practicing at Mintz Levin, he specialized in complex litigation, white collar criminal matters, compliance and internal investigations.  Mr. Tangney also served as an officer in the United States Navy's Judge Advocate General Corps from 1996-2000 where he tried many cases before military courts.  He received his B.A. in English and Communications from Boston College and his J.D. from Suffolk Law School.  Mr. Tangney is a member of the State Bar of Massachusetts and the State Bar of New Hampshire. 

Russell Wiles
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Mr. Wiles was appointed Senior Vice President, Human Resources in October, 2009.  Prior to this, Mr. Wiles was Senior Vice President, Manufacturing, Ste. Genevieve.  Mr. Wiles joined a predecessor company of Holcim (US) (Ideal Basic Industries Inc.) in 1978.  He has also held the positions of Plant Chemist, Quality Control Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Plant Superintendent, Salesman, Sales Manager, Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager and Vice President, Manufacturing.  Mr. Wiles received a B.S. in chemistry from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1978.  He served on the board of directors of Central Gulf Industries Forum.
