Envirocore™ supplementary cementitious materials

Envirocore supplementary cementitious materials are used to enhance the performance characteristics of concrete mixtures for a broad spectrum of applications. When combined with hydraulic cement, these materials are designed to offer increased strength, improved workability, reduced heat evolution and enhanced ASR, as well as resistance to sulfate attack or harsh chemical environments. They may also be used for soil stabilization, structural fill and road base material.

Class C Fly Ash

  • Versatile, high quality product with both cementitious and pozzolanic properties, containing 10 to 30 percent lime
  • Improves the workability of plastic concrete mixtures, and enhances the density and durability of finished concrete for a variety of construction applications
  • Meets or exceeds the standards outlined in ASTM C 618
  • Available in bulk quantities and can be shipped by rail or truck

 

Class F Fly Ash

  • One of the best-known, most commonly-used pozzolans and a multi-purpose mineral admixture for concrete
  • Enhances many concrete properties, resulting in lower heat of hydration, higher ultimate concrete strengths, increased workability, decreased permeability, and lower air entrainment requirements. Used to help achieve moderate and higher sulfate resistance
  • Meets or exceeds the standards outlined in ASTM C 618
  • Available in bulk quantities and can be shipped by rail or truck

 

Slag Cement

  • Increased compressive strengths and improves durability when mixed with portland cement
  • Brighter, better-looking concrete than is possible with typical portland cement, even in projects that call for colored concrete
  • Greater durability, and more resistant to sulfate attack and alkali-silica reaction, when mixed with portland cement
  • Made from co-processed materials, so it's earth-friendly; the amount of slag cement you use in your projects can be applied toward meeting minimum co-processed material content requirements for many federally funded projects
