Aaron Ainsworth
Shift Electrician
United States Army

While figuring out his next moves as a civilian, Aaron leaned on that “never stop learning” philosophy and completed an electrical technician course. That’s when he saw the job posting on Holcim’s LinkedIn page for an electrician at the Portland Cement Plant in Florence, Colorado. Aaron applied, interviewed, and has been at the plant for one and a half years working as a Shift Electrician. His military experience, both electrical and chemical, helped prepare him for the work he does now.

Brandy Pittman
Heavy Equipment Operator
United States Army National Guard

Brandy has been a Heavy Equipment Operator for nine years. She learned her “craft” (as she refers to it) during her 14 years as a Horizontal Construction Engineer in the U.S. Army National Guard where Brandy was Title 32 active duty in Illinois. She later trained soldiers on heavy equipment operation prior to their deployment. Brandy finds it rewarding that young females look up to her and hopes to inspire others to explore opportunities in heavy equipment.

Supporting the Guard and the Reserve

We take immense pride in the dedication of numerous Reserve Service Members within our teams across the country. To reinforce this commitment, Toufic Tabbara, North America Region Head, and Claudia Mann, SPHR - SCP VP, HR, signed an official statement of support for the Guard and Reserve.

Supporting Our Military

Holcim US is grateful for our veteran's service and for the experiences and expertise they have to offer. We recognize that the transition form military service to a civilian profession can be challenging and are committed to providing support to veterans as they become an integral part of our workforce.
