Sonia Gagnon

Sonia Gagnon was appointed Director of Ductal North America in 2019. Ms. Gagnon oversees the Ductal business from strategy and sales, to product management, operations and logistics. In this role, she sits on the Cement Executive Committee.

Ductal is a family of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) that provides exceptional properties of strength and durability. Ductal has been used for some of the most innovative and challenging structural and architectural projects in the world. Ms. Gagnon is focused on increasing awareness of Ductal and growing the brand in both infrastructure and architectural markets.  

She began her career at Lafarge as a Ready-Mix Technical Manager for the Greater Montreal area. Since then, she has been involved in several commercial and civil projects in more than 15 countries. Ms. Gagnon gained extensive international experience as Transfer Manager at the Holcim Research Center in Lyon, France. 

In 2018, she moved to US headquarters in Chicago, IL, to assume the position of Manager, Major Construction Projects. She supported design plans and mobilized resources and expertise to support specifics for projects valued at more than $500 million.
 
Ms. Gagnon attended the École de Technologie Supérieure in Montreal, Quebec. She earned a Bachelor degree in civil engineering and a certificate in quality management and assurance.
